I love my cats. I'm guessing you already know this, but just in case, I'll tell you: I love my cats.We have four--from left to right: Maizie, Frances, Clyde, and Sam. Each have a very distinct purrsonality.
The title of "Princess" goes to my orange-and-white prissy-girl ("reigning despot" might also be an appropriate title since she definitely rules the roost!), Miss Maizie Grace.
Maizie came into my life via friend and fellow author, Deborah Raney, in September 2008. She has provided companionship and endless entertainment. She really is a loving little scamp, and I can't imagine not enjoying the company of this furry feline.
To celebrate her purrthday, I pulled out a few of my favorite photos of Maizie and added captions meant to express her purrsonality.
"Galley? What galley? I don't see any galley..."
"Can't a girl get her beauty rest without interruptions???"
"Why are you on Yahoo? Aren't you supposed to be WRITING?"
"What? Haven't you ever seen anyone imitating Snoopy doing the vulture?"
"Frances, I'm warning you, one step closer and...WHOP!"
"But, Mom, why shouldn't I stay here? Do I not bring you 'precious moments'?"
"Yes, this time I'm going, too!"
"Well, Sam, you were right. It IS a great big world out there..."
"Who turned on the sun???"
"Yes... Yes, that's good, but...a little more to the left..."
"Riveting. Simply riveting. Is there a sequel?"
"Galley? What galley? I tell you, I do NOT see any galley..."
"Mom, do you have any tuna-flavored mints?"
"Frances, you touch my mousies and I shall be forced to break your paw..."
"Mom? Mom! Pick me up, Mom..."
"What's a girl gotta do to get a drink around here?"
"Okay, now remember to poke a couple of airholes before you seal me up
and send me to Mouse-chigan."
Well, that was fun for me! Now would you like to have some fun, too? Give me your best caption for the picture below. I'll choose one winner and send a fun, kitty-themed package to you or a purrson of your choice. Now...get captioning!
God bless you muchly as you journey with Him! ~Kim

"They said WHAT about your book? I can't believe it!"
ReplyDelete"And then what happened?!"
"If you look at your publisher like this they'll let you finish that book whenever YOU want!"
"c'mon....you won't even know I'm here"
ReplyDeleteMy caption..."How DARE you add Clyde to your book and not me??"
ReplyDeleteErik is playing along. His caption...
"You know Mom, what would really set this new book apart is if you made the heroine a different species. Have you considered...feline?"
Heh heh heh. Maizie says you are quite a-mew-sing.
ReplyDeleteWhoa. That part was intense, Mom. Read me some more! I gotta know what's gonna happen!
ReplyDelete"I can't believe she said that! Then what happened?"
