The question: "Are there going to be any more books in the Belmont Mansion series? I see another series starting up, with Whisper Her Name (Belle Meade Plantation), and I was just wondering."
YES! There are TWO more books coming in both the Belmont Mansion series and the Belle Meade Plantation series. A LASTING IMPRESSION is book 1 for Belmont, and TO WHISPER HER NAME (releasing Oct 23, I'm so excited!) is book 1 for Belle Meade. The two series "intertwine" and show us different perspectives of Nashville during similar time periods.
Adelicia Acklen (the mistress of Belmont) and the Harding family (from Belle Meade) knew one another, though they moved in different social circles. Belmont was the "summer villa" of the richest woman in the U.S. at the time, and Belle Meade Plantation was the most influential thoroughbred stud farm in American history. So you can imagine how different the settings are, as well as their histories. And how interesting! I hope you think so too.
So as you're reading both the Belmont Mansion series and the Belle Meade Plantation series, know that I'm writing them to "intertwine." Meaning… You *might* just catch glimpses of people from the Belmont books in the Belle Meade books (or visa versa), as well as glimpse a character from a past novel of mine.
Here's the trailer for To Whisper Her Name...
So tell me… What's the last series books (either historical or contemporary) that you've fallen into 'book love' with?
~Tammy
An addendum… Are you part of a church library or a book club? Want a stash of books? Well then, let's chat!
Come on over here and find out what I'm giving away!

Yay! I'm so happy that there will be more in the Belmont Mansion series! I absolutely loved A Lasting Impression and I have been anxiously awaiting To Whisper Her Name! And as a side note, I absolutely love both of these covers! The cover of A Lasting Impression is what made me want the book!
ReplyDeleteAs for the latest series/book I have fallen in "book love" with, hmm... The very latest would probably be The Anniversary Waltz by Darrel Nelson, but I have LOVED so many books this year it's hard to keep track!
Thanks for those kind words, Abbi! I haven't heard of The Anniversary Waltz. I'm off to look it up now. Thanks so much for that tip! I love being in book love! Blessings on your Tuesday... (Great profile pic, btw!)
ReplyDeleteTammy! It ALL sounds most exciting.:) I loved ALI and I'm sure I will enjoy "To Whisper Her Name" just as much(if I can manage to locate it..courier pidgeon maybe???) How neat that you've managed to link the two books together. I'm sure it will make fantastic reading and will be a best seller!:)
ReplyDeleteI can't possibly choose between the last series books, because I'm ALWAYS glad to find anything that has been written by any of you. Obviously all you lovely authors are my favourite group but I do favour the historical books.
It is a delight to be able to open my treasured posession at page one and lose myself in pomp and circumstance back in the Victorian Era.
Tam,I very much enjoyed your video promoting TWHN and also your interview for the Belmont series.
Keep them rolling dear lady.:)
Hey Rosie! Sending a hug to you Down Under, lady, and appreciate you reading. I also appreciate your sweet spirit. How are you feeling of late? Much better, I pray. And I'm with you, I love to read cross-genre but historicals are my fav!
ReplyDeleteSooo excited about TWHN releasing this Fall! Historicals are my favorite genre too--for many reasons (it's so fun to read about how life "used to be"). ~ I do have a quick question, please: Do you ever get "confused" when working on 2 different series? I'm sure you're very organized, but I cannot imagine working on two different series at the same time *sigh*. ~ Still chuckling over Rosie's pigeon comment (waving at our precious Aussie friend!). ~ I have loved ALL of your series, Tammy (honest!) and at the moment I am "in book love" with Judy and Tracie's BRIDAL VEIL series--oh my! Makes me love our Georgia coast all the more. ~ Continued prayers for you and your writing, sweet Tammy. Hugs, Patti Jo
ReplyDeleteWheeeee!!! This new series is news to me and I'm thrilled! The book trailer is stunning! And the costumes...sigh. I know I'm going to love Whisper His Name.
ReplyDeleteAs to which series I really love...wow, there's so many!!!! It's like nearly every book published is part of a series.
Really looking forward to the conclusion of Shelley Shepard Gray's Crittendon County series. It's one of those cliff hanging series but they've been released really close together.
Julie Lessman is finishing up her Winds of Change series this October and I'm frothing at the mouth as I impatiently wait for that one to come out.
Love The Bridal Veil series -- just finished To Love and Cherish.
About to start the third book in The Land of the Lonestar series by Tracie Peterson. Loved the first two.
Oh -- and just finished reading The Haven which is the second in Suzanne Woods Fisher's latest Amish series which is absolutely divine!
Sigh -- I could go on but I'm sure you don't want me to. :-)
Yay, Tammy - as you can probably guess, I love connected series. :)
ReplyDeleteI also loved the promo video for your book. That's not a route I've taken on promoting my books, because the early ones looked so cheesy, but this one was sooooo classy that it makes me think.....
Tracie
"How life used to be..." You and me both, Patti Jo! And I'm looking forward to read Judy's and Tracie's newest! I love the Georgia coast too!
ReplyDeleteKav, what a list, woman! Love it! I've read some of those but not all, but you're right. Julie's are great and so are Suzanne's!
Tracie, thanks for those kind words! I get what you're saying. And yes! Today's trailers are quite a bit better than the ones first produced years ago. I'm grateful to Zondervan for all the work that went into this one. So come on, lady... Make a trailer! ; )
The Last book I read that I fell in book love with was The Wedding Dress by Rachel Hauck. I am looking forward to To Whisper her name, especially after visiting Belle Meade in July.
